Everything you need to know and want to know, for Resistanz 2026 in one place!
(Best viewed on PC or Tablet)
Welcome once again to the annual Resistanz Festival article, this time with a couple of extra additions including new recommendation categories, extra (and more ethical) playlists, and the new Beat:Cancer compilation.
Much love to the other festivals Elektro Vox works with such as Infest, Valhalla, and of course the wonderful legends of Beat:Cancer!
If you don't have a weekend or day ticket for Resistanz yet, click HERE or the above banner for tickets! (including day tickets, and instalment pay tickets)

Elektro Vox Resistanz 2026 playlists (Just below this)
Pure love for everyone attending Resistanz 2026!
Playlist(s)
I've put together 3 playlists this year. One is the usual Spotify list, but with many of us now incredibly concerned with their recent investments (as well as artists' pay)
- I have also decided to make a playlist on two of the most ethical alternatives available, Qobuz and Tidal.
Please note the Qobuz playlist has several different tracks to replace unavailable ones on their platform.
I took the time to make sure to include 3 brilliant songs from each of the bands, not just the top three that come up on Spotify.
This is by far the best annual playlist for Tanz so far, and that's not down to me, that's down to Leighton booking incredible act after incredible act for this year's show!
I've also included a 4th song for the band I've singled out as the number 1 must see this year!
Spotify
Tidal
Qobuz
Nearly 4 hours worth of great tunes on each playlist!

Friday
Arch Femmesis
Elektro Vox's most curious to discover recommendation (1 of 2)

“Make Punk Gay Again”
ELECTRO (s)PUNK duo ARCH FEMMESIS are here to get silly, sapphic and sultry with their sardonic set. Mixing punk vocals fused with 80s Club Kid techno, they’re a nostalgic nod to queer dance culture (but with a fresh face-lift and chemical peel).
With bangers such as Androgynista, Pussy Bitch and Rejectile Dysfunction, their camp and kinky poetry spits clap-backs at men of a certain demographic. Inspired by Leigh Bowery, Divine, Peaches and Diamanda Galas, their iconic sound and fabulous stage presence brings a breath of fresh cigarette smoke to the UK music scene.
“Like Meeting Grace Jones in a devastating mood whilst on some seriously nasty trip” - under the Radar Magazine
“Futuristic, exquisitely dirty, electronic beats”- BABMAG
I've added a new recommendation category, I feel it's about time, as there are often bands I really want to discover more about and ARCH FEMMESIS seem perfect for this new category. Exciting!
Strange Futures

Strange Futures invite you to join their underground electro-punk dance party and ethereal goth séance.
Alastair Power and Alice Sheridan's Bristol-based darkwave outfit bring dark beats, arresting basslines and ethereal melodies together with disarming lyrics.
Having supported artists such as Drab Majesty, S Y Z Y G Y X, Traitrs, Ductape, and Dancing Plague, they are quickly gaining a reputation for an energetic and intense live show.
Following the release of Night Errors EP with remixes by Propter Hoc and OWLS, a new single is due for release in December 2025. Bring your own bleakness.
Mercy Girl
Elektro Vox's Friday MUST SEE artist recommendation
(1 of 3)

Mercy Girl is sensory euphoria and contemplation.
Formed in 2024 by members Daisy Miles, Davey Purdie, Craig Harkness
and Kylie MacNaughton, the Glasgow based electronic outfit explore
themes of love, despair and the uncertainty of the human experience.
Taking inspiration from EBM, Darkwave and Electro-Pop, Mercy Girl
invokes both the solace of a dark empty highway, and the surrender of a neon-hazed dancefloor.
Since launching in November 2024, the band have amassed a global
audience and a cult online following. Having their music regularly played at, and being used to promote dark scene club nights everywhere from Los Angeles to Berlin.
The band sold out their debut headline show in The Hug and Pint in
Glasgow and have shared the stage with Justin Warfield (She Wants
Revenge) at a sold out Oslo in Hackney, London. Their latest single ‘No Sound’ was featured as Track of the Week on BBC 6 Music, alongside strong support from BBC Introducing Scotland with an Artist of the Week full feature.
There's something so dark and enticing about their music. I can't wait to get lost in it.
Nevada Hardware Elektro Vox's overall DO NOT MISS recommendation of all Resistanz 2026!

Nevada Hardware is a Chicago-based industrial breakbeat project known for fusing distorted guitars, chopped samples, and massive hook-heavy grooves. Their early-2025 release Split Scene (Thinkbreak Records) earned underground acclaim, landing top positions on year-end lists from I Die: You Die, ReGen Magazine, and A Model of Control. Nevada Hardware has built a reputation for heavy, kinetic dance music that nods to industrial, techno, and late-90s rave culture while staying sharply contemporary.
Known for high-energy live performances, Nevada Hardware delivers relentless sets that keep dancefloors moving. Live shows feature real-time sequenced video created in collaboration with multimedia artist and labelmate royb0t, tightly synced to the music to create an immersive, high-impact audiovisual experience
I somehow didn't know them before putting the playlists together and writing this up and wow.. Do I feel like I've missed out. Each track SLAPS! I am so, so looking forward to seeing them play.
Just like I recommended Neuroklast last year as no.1 to see, this year it falls to Nevada Hardware! ..No pressure ;)
LEBROCK Elektro Vox's Friday MUST SEE artist recommendation (2 of 3)

Combining ‘80s style melodic rock riffs with shimmering synthwave melodies and a heartfelt vocal delivery, members Michael and Shaun have established themselves as some of the most uniquely compelling artists within the world of retro revival music.
The results speak for themselves.
The retro rockers’ first E.P. Action and Romance, is a synth-heavy fan favorite that has earned millions of Spotify streams to date as well as features on the popular YouTube channel, NewRetroWave.
LeBrock found success once again when they adopted a stronger rock sound with all vocal tracks on 2018’s Real Thing. Packed with fist-pumping retro anthems, the artists’ distinctive and increasingly personal style again earning more features on NewRetroWave along with widespread acclaim from fans and critics alike. Add to that a full European tour along side synth rockers Dance with the Dead in 2019 and a sell out UK headline tour in 2020, LeBrock have cemented themselves as one of the premier forces in the Retrowave scene.
Their debut full length album “Fuse” was released through FiXT to critical acclaim in 2021 and shot straight to number 1 on the popular digital streaming and download platform, Bandcamp and has since racked up millions of streams on Spotify and other popular DSPs.
The synthwave / Synthpop MASTER who I have listened to for years. Absolutely DO NOT MISS this one!
Cassyette Elektro Vox's Friday MUST SEE artist recommendation
(3 of 3)

Cassyette's music is described as 'Nu-gen' - a hybridised form of alternative music which encompasses everything from metal, punk, alt pop, screamo to electronic and dance. It is futuristic and heavy in nature.
This short Bio is deceiving and far too humble!
Cassyette is a phenomenal artists, it's wonderful to have acts like this at Tanz - Like we've had Mimi Barks, Harpy, and now this brilliant, brilliant act!
Again, DO NOT MISS it!
Karaoke (Stage 2 from 10:30pm)

Back once again for the renegade monster!
King Confuza presents Confuzaoke - The Resistanz Friday night alternative karaoke party.
Hosted by King Confuza, international drag monster/king/performance artist, horror/cabaret host and the creator of Sheffield’s premier drag monster show and alt queer club night "Cryptid Queers".
A lot of fun last year! I'll definitely sing this year, I promise!

Resident DJ at Cryptid Queers. Co-founder of the RevolutioN club night, one of the UK's longest running 'monthly' industrial nights, established 2009. Founder and main promoter for Resistanz Festival.
Another Humble Bio from the man behind Tanz himself who always plays a 10/10 DJ set at Revolution, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I'm trying to convince him to let me interview him, I'd like it if you all helped too!

Saturday
Karkasaurus presents: Eurotanz Elektro Vox's Saturday MUST SEE artist recommendation
(1 of 4)

I've got something to tell you, I've got news for you… Karkasaurus is coming, to get everybody jumping!
The Jurassic duo are stepping out from behind the DJ decks and debuting their new live show Eurotanz, joined by the talented musician M-Rei (Last seen at Tanz with Uberbyte in 2013!) on the mic. Expect wild costumes, an overload of enthusiasm, and a high-octane 45 minutes of energetic beats blended with their patented fun, cheesy vibe. All with some cheeky guest appearances - will it be Matt - who knows?
Playing all unreleased tracks apparently, well..
Yea I guess they always play unreleased stuff, cause their remixes and DONKS are so damn good, they'd be sued to the eyeballs if they pumped the market full of their amazing, but totally dodgy copyright bangers!
House Of Serpents
(LEBROCK side project)
Elektro Vox's Saturday MUST SEE artist recommendation
(2 of 4)

A dark journey into the mind of a lover of the occult, horror and giallo.
HOUSE OF SERPENTS blend together goth, synthwave and punk rock into an original and powerful new sound.
The first release LOVE DEATH BLOOD was picked up by FIXT and songs like RITUAL and I RAN have been picked up by movies and other soundtracks.
From the crypts of imagination the new release is coming in 2026!
So I am already VERY excited to see LEBROK, but to see the side project too?! Damn we are in for a TREAT!
Phosgore Elektro Vox's Saturday MUST SEE artist recommendation
(3 of 4)

Thundering basslines. Screaming synths. No compromise.
In 2009, PHOSGORE took to the stage with his debut CD DOMINATION. The album was a huge success in clubs all over the world. The second longplayer WARHEAD followed in 2011; in 2015, PESTBRINGER completed the destructive triplet, which grew in destructive fury with each release.
After a creative break, the time has finally come in 2025: The PHOSGORE machines are running again - harder, dirtier and more violent than ever before.
PHOSGORE is uncompromising music for an uncompromising audience.
Classic band, classic sound, you know it's gonna be LIT!
Rio Rodrigo (Stage 2)

Rio Rodrigo is Fuerteventura's self-proclaimed Number 1 DJ - Spinning up a sizzling sonic soufflé from the most electrifying musical decade in history while delivering face-melting Guitar Solos and bringing his unrivalled fashion sense and superb moustache to the stage. Prepare to travel back through time and revisit the glory days of the 1980s aboard the Rio express!
Red Cell

For over two decades, Red Cell has been crafting synth-driven music that resonates deeply with audiences. With powerful synths, captivating melodies, and Jimmy Skeppstedt’s unforgettable voice, they’ve become one of the most dynamic acts on the Scandinavian scene.
As Earmilk notes: “The band's meticulous attention to detail is apparent in every beat, synth line, and lyrical phrase.”
Their 2023 award-nominated album was praised for its unique sound and strong songwriting, and this year’s string of singles has been embraced by both fans and critics. On stage, Red Cell elevate their music to another level — an electrifying experience of energy, emotion, and presence.
REAPER
Elektro Vox's Saturday MUST SEE artist recommendation
(4 of 4)

REAPER: Industrial Sarcasm
The middle finger in the glitter-clad costume of the dark scene.
REAPER is not an art project — it is execution and affection for scene clichés at the same time. Vasi Vallis drops all intellectual restraint and sends the satirical wrecking ball straight onto the
dancefloor. Anyone searching for profound lyricism has missed the point: REAPER is the conscious, affectionate play with Industrial clichés and blunt provocation.
Aggression Meets Absurdity.
Instead of drowning in grim seriousness, REAPER kicks the door in and delivers its tracks with a malicious grin. Song titles so obvious they hurt, and sounds surgically tuned for maximum club
destruction, form the foundation. No lectures, no distance — but an experiment on the dancefloor itself: how much cliché can it take before madness turns into method?
By exaggerating the symbols of Industrial subculture to the point of caricature, Vasi Vallis exposes his closeness to and reverence for it. REAPER is the outlet for everything that has no place in his Future Pop projects. It is loud, it is dirty, and it is absolutely not meant to be taken seriously — except when it comes to having fun. Anyone dancing to REAPER celebrates the downfall with a cynical grin on their face.
REAPER is ALWAYS one of the highlights of the year whenever he plays, I've seen him twice..
My brain remembers the dopamine, and my knees remember the pain. WORTH IT!
Amelia Arsenic
Elektro Vox's most wholesome artist recommendation

Enter Amelia Arsenic’s blood rave with grit, glamor and hard pounding percussion. The Chinese Australian cyberpunk pioneer returns to the Corporation with her dance inducing blend of mid tempo electronic beats and heavy guitars. Amelia will be bringing her entire band to Sheffield, so expect to riot and grind to their destructive live show.
Amelia was my third ever video interview back in 2019 and she is such a wonderful soul. Also the first artist to offer me a beer backstage!
Anyway, she's fierce on stage, blends rap perfectly with singing, and is generally just full of good, wholesome vibes, so I decided to make a new recommendation category from now on in her honour!
DJ List
AmyLadygoth

DJ AmyLadygoth shares her passion for electronic music with a fascination for underground fashion.
From a young age, she felt attracted to underground music and subversive aesthetics. The alternative scene has always been her home.

Electric Dream & Nighthood

Expect dynamic and driving sets designed to get your body moving.
Sunday
System Noire (Replacing Draven)
Elektro Vox's Sunday MUST SEE artist recommendation
(1 of 4)

Hailing from Hanover, Germany, System Noire fuse experimental dark electro with infectious melodies, massive guitar riffs, and aggressive vocals to forge their own sonic inferno. Classic industrial elements collide with a raw metal attitude, creating a powerful and unmistakable sound.
Lyrically, the band dives deep into the human psyche, confronting social decay, inner conflict, and personal resistance.
On stage, System Noire unleash their full force: intense, high-energy, and absolutely not for anyone allergic to movement.
You wanna F**ing dance?!
Then don't miss!
LIKK Elektro Vox's most curious to discover recommendation
(2 of 2)

Electroclash Royalty Meets Industrial Noise in a celebration of chaos.
In March 2025, Likk emerged from the wreckage of punk energy, electronic decay, and pure creative obsession. Fronted by Toril Lindqvist (Alice in Videoland) and Andreas Andersson (Abu Nein), Likk fuses raw emotion with mechanical precision — in a merge that forces you to react.
Their sound is fierce, physical, and hypnotic: distorted synths, pounding beats, and vocals that cut through the static like a warning siren. This is EBM twisted through the lens of electroclash attitude and industrial grit — dark, dirty, and impossible not to move to.
Likk - It’s the sound of concrete and chrome colliding, dark, physical, and addictive. A celebration of chaos — and the beauty that lives inside it.
Second in my curiosity 'award' this year.. I have good a good feeling about this one!
GHOST COP

Blending elements of dark wave, post punk, synth pop, and horror
soundtracks, GHOST COP has built an underground following around
the world.
They are as influenced by the gloomy forebears of yesteryear as they are by B-movies.
Their music ranges from dystopian dance floor heaters to cinematic anthems and vocoder lullabies, pairing punishing beats, haunting melodies and lyrical storytelling
TAYNE (Stage 2)

TAYNE is an Industrial Noise Pop band based in London.
The band aims to subvert pop music and push it to extreme limits. Alluring melodies collide with violent synths and ghost-like vocals create a stark melting pot of genres. They create a powerful hybrid of noise which takes as much cues from Lady Gaga as it does from Nine Inch Nails.
“The contrast is far more interesting to us. We love extreme metal music but there's something more exciting to us when you're trying to create something that isn't what everyone else is doing.”
TAYNE has supported the likes of Health, Author & Punisher and Greg Puciato, as well as securing slots on festival bills including Portals and Reeperbahn in Hamburg, Germany. TAYNE is set to release Love through MNRK / MNRK HEAVY in January 2025.
Denuit

Denuit is a French darkwave duo blending gothic techno and haunted melodies into a sound of their own: Night-Wave.
Poetic, radical and defiant, they now enter their boldest chapter yet: Faceless — a direct rebellion against algorithmic control.
No faces. No filters. Denuit vanishes from the screen to reclaim something raw and real.
Their music doesn’t follow the rules — it burns them.
Gritty, cinematic, and visceral, it's made for those who refuse to be shaped by the machine.
This isn’t a trend. This is Denuit.
MOAAN EXIS
Elektro Vox's Sunday MUST SEE artist recommendation
(2 of 4)

Moaan Exis fuses the intensity of industrial metal with electronic sounds to create a hypnotic symbiosis. Born from the alchemy of distortion and tribal rhythms, the band projects raw energy that resonates through body and mind.
On stage, Moaan Exis transforms each concert into an immersive, visceral experience. Pulsating lights, abrasive sound textures, and magnetic stage presence create a unique synergy. Each performance becomes a total immersion where the audience is swept away by the band's chaotic energy.
A reference point in the experimental extreme music scene, Moaan Exis encourages listeners to cross the line between order and chaos, offering a musical experience that defies conventions and invites collective trance.
The drums of hell have nothing on the raw stage power of these two smashing away on stage.
Masculine energy galore but in the best possible way.
Wear ear protection, you'll feel this one in every single bone!
Rotersand
Elektro Vox's Sunday MUST SEE artist recommendation
(3 of 4)

Back by popular demand...
Rotersand is a friend who has been accompanying you for a whole decade on your nocturnal hunt’s Post-Industrial amusement. Rotersand is the beast right beside you – twitching, stomping, finally leaping upon you and clinging to you. Want to take us home? The beast can also purr like a black cat if it wishes. The beauty and the beast: an insuperable antagonism? In Rotersand both melt into one with complex elegance.
Will the ceiling be broken by another inflatable Dalek? Only time will tell.. I'm so glad to see these legends return.
Solar Fake Elektro Vox's Sunday MUST SEE artist recommendation
(4 of 4)

SOLAR FAKE is the synthpop / industrial / indie-electro act of Sven Friedrich (also Zeraphine, formerly Dreadful Shadows).
Founded in 2007, their debut album “Broken Grid” was released in 2008 by “Synthetic Symphony / SPV”.
In the years that followed there were support tours for example with
VNV Nation, Project Pitchfork, Peter Heppner, Covenant, and Camouflage, in addition to their own concerts and festival gigs, as well as further releases, such as the “Resigned EP” (2009) and the album “Frontiers” (2011).
With their third studio album, “Reasons To Kill” (2013), SOLAR FAKE had their first entry in the official German album charts ever, with all the following albums hitting these charts as well. During their first own headliner tour for this album, there was a line-up change for the live act. Since then, Sven’s former band mate, André Feller (keys, bass; formerly Dreadful Shadows), has been joining SOLAR FAKE onstage.
With their 4th album, “Another Manic Episode” (2015, album charts #31), SOLAR FAKE joined the Berlin-based cult label “Out Of Line Music”. For the first time, a fan box and vinyl versions were released, starting a tradition that has been kept up until today: an acoustic album as part of the fan box including piano and acoustic versions of the songs of each new album.
Subsequently, there were headliner tours and global gigs, crowned by their participation in “Gothic Meets Klassik” at Gewandhaus, Leipzig, and a US tour together with Aesthetic Perfection in 2017.
Also in 2017, SOLAR FAKE’s first acoustic tour took place in Germany, as a result of which the acoustic live album “Sedated Live Acoustic”, recorded during their concert in Hamburg, was released in the same year.
At the end of 2017, Jens Halbauer (drums; Fliehende Stürme, formerly Die Art) completed the live setup that has remained unchanged since then.
In 2018, the 5th studio album, “You Win. Who cares?” (album charts #20), was released, followed by a tour that was sold-out almost everywhere, many festival gigs, and many concerts all over the world.
Resulting from this, the live double album “Who cares, it’s live!” (2020, album charts #25) was released.
In 2019, their former record label, SPV, released the first 3 albums as a 3CD digipak called “One2Three”, which included not only the original albums, but also live recordings.
The last collaboration with the label “Out Of Line” was released in
2021: “Enjoy Dystopia” (album charts #4). Due to the ongoing pandemic, the album tour had to be postponed to 2022. However, a few open-air concerts took place in the summer of 2021.
In 2022 and 2023, many concerts followed, including at Festung Koenigstein, the “Solar Fake & Friends” open-air in Goerlitz, 2 USA tours and one UK tour, plus many festival gigs and headliner shows.
Since 2022 Sven had been working on the songs for the now 7th studio album, “Don’t Push This Button!”, which was released on May 24th, 2024, on Sven’s own label, “Pointless Music”, and hit #6 in the German album charts (#1 in DAC, AAC and GEWC). In addition to the regular versions, the double album also includes so-called “Amplified” versions, where the songs are translated into an indie rock guise. Moreover, the elaborately designed 3CD fan boxes and the 2LP fan sets contain the by now must-have piano versions on the “Silenced EP”.
The tour for the album was the band's most successful to date, with nearly sold-out venues everywhere. Further concerts will take Solar Fake back to festivals in Germany and Europe.
Sven Friedrich has always been SOLAR FAKE’s only songwriter and has produced all albums at his “Rosa Falke” sound studio. On the albums, the multi-instrumentalist plays all instruments by himself, with the exception of the live albums.
During the COVID crisis, the 3 musicians Sven, André & Jens started a humoristic podcast that has been broadcasted (nearly) every week, lately every other week and has become very popular.
In 2018 a friend asked me to go to E-Tropolis in Oberhausen Germany, back when I knew only a handful of industrial bands.. Solar Fake was not one of them.
The positivity, love, and showmanship of Solar Fake sparked something deep within me.. So much so I decided to write my first ever review..
And so Elektro Vox was born.
I love this band deeply!
